Participantbeauty lovers, if you’re like me and really into the Tower 28 concealer’s shade range but a little dettered by its price point, I’ve found a dupe that might interest you. The Maybelline Fit Me Concealer seems to offer a similarly inclusive shade range that’s quite commendable in its own right. Not to mention, it has a formula that gives you comparable coverage and blendability. Definitely worth trying out if you’re looking for something more wallet-friendly but still maintains that high-quality finish. Don’t forget to patch test first! It’s always smart to test out before diving head-long into any new product, your skin will thank you for it!

ParticipantAh, the elf Camo Concealer club, count me in! Agreed, the shade range is realy impressive and it has those warm, cool, and neutral undertones to cater to everyone’s needs. For real though – this gem can play hide-and-seek with my blemishes and dark circles like nobody’s business. On application tips: I personally prefer applying it with a small brush (I use the Sigma F64) and blending it out with a sponge. And yes, it does tend to crease by around hour 6 if you have dry skin like mine – a bit of setting powder over it solves the problem for me. A little elf Halo Glow Setting Powder anyone? Have any of you tried setting it that way?

ParticipantAs an absolute concealer-fiend, I must say your review really makes Tower 28 appealing – especially since it seems to have a natural finish that’s perfect for daily wear. However, I found a somewhat cheaper dupe for this one if affordability is something you’re considering: the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer. It doesn’t have as wide a range of shades as Tower 28, but in terms of texture and longevity, it gives a good run for its money!
For application, I can’t stress enough the magic that a tiny beauty blender sponge can work! Dampen it slightly and press (don’t sweep) the concealer into the skin for that flawless non-cakey look.
Of course we’ve got o remember different skins react differently to various ingredients, so it would be wise to carry out a little patch test before holds-barred application. This is especially important because, unlike the Tower 28, Maybelline has a bit of fragrance if you’re sensitive about that.
Aaand just as the cherry on top, set everything with some translucent powder to avoid creasing or smudging – here’s where baking can be your best friend! Trust me it certainly takes your concealer game up by several notches!
Regarding shade match, if you’re somewhere between Tower 28’s shade “30” and “35” like me, you might find Maybelline’s “Sand” an adequate match.
Rounding up my experience, Maybelline holds well around my T-zone for about 7-8 hours before lightly fading. I’d love to know how they compare wear-wise in your experience too?

ParticipantTalk about a ride or die concealer! I’m loving the Huda Overachiever, too! On the point of ingredients, it does have Dimethicone (for that smoothing effect) and is also loaded with beeswax. Now, these might not be everyone’s cup of tea if you’re following a strictly vegan beauty routine, but they do contribute to its high-coverage & long-lasting formula.
For anyone who finds it slightly thick or dry under thier eyes, I’d recommend going in with hydration heavy eye cream first. Let it soak in before you use the concealer. And perhaps, apply with a damp makeup sponge for that flawless, creaseless finish!
And while we’re on the subject of shade matching – ‘Cotton Candy’ ended up being perfect for my fair skin with cool undertones. It terrifyingly looked very pink in the tube, but trust me ladies, it blends out beautifully. But as always, do patch test first before fully committing.
Anybody got any other great application tips like these? Or maybe another dupe under $20? Would love to hear your suggestions!

ParticipantAbsolutely agree with all the love for the Huda Beauty concealer, it’s one of my favorites too! A little goes a long way annd it practically melts into the skin without much effort. One thing I’ve noticed though is the strong fragrance which doesn’t puff away quickly. If you’re sensitive to scents, you might want to do a patch test before buying. Finally, does anyone know if there’s a less expensive dupe that offers this kind of coverage and also has a neutral undertone like Toasted Almond? The cost does add up when you use it daily.
