ParticipantOkay, beauty folks, I’ve just spent a full day indulging in a deep dive with the Kosas Revealer Concealer (I went for shade 03 with its neutral undertones). With it advertised as both self-setting and medium to full coverage; I wasn’t disappoint! The blendability? Superb. Despite my dry skin fearing it would crease under my eyes, no creasing at all for about 6 hours – but maybe that’s cause I decided to lodge it with some light baking. Score on spot concealing too, making those pesky blemishes invisible was a breeze. Only got slightly dry around hour 8 – no biggie though, considering how well it brightened my face over matching my complexion perfectly. Have any of you tried this Kosas concealer review without baking?

ParticipantAgreed, Kosas Concealer is definitely worth raving about! Its seamless blendability and creamy texture are indeed noteworthy. As for its shade matching, Kosas has a decent range embracing warm, neutral, and cool undertones, which I appreciate.
Have you noticed the highlighter effect? It’s not glitter or visible shimmer but if you apply under your eyes, it gives a sheen like you’re gently lit from within. A little tip from my side – instead of a brush or fingers, using a beauty sponge to blend this product can really help to disperse the product evenly without losing that effect.
While Kosas concealer lacks the traditional ‘heaviness’ associated with some concealers hence less creasing, during my wear test over a 7-hour workday, I saw the tiniest bit of settling in fine lines. But nothing very noticeable and far less than what I’ve seen with other similar products.
But what’s truly great is the conscious effort put into the formulation – no fragrance or alcohol. Yeah, they did include coconut oil which might not be everyone’s favorite due to its comedogenic properties but remember to always patch test before going full throttle!
If you’re looking for an alternative of similar quality but cheaper, take a peek at CoverGirl’s TruBlend Undercover. This too packs some wow-factor points for being highly pigmented and long-lasting! Need more staying power on oilier skin? Pair it with a mattifying primer like The Ordinary’s High-Adherence Silicone Primer and check out that flawless finish!
Lastly, have you found the right shade in Kosas for yourself? Would love to hear how it’s working!

ParticipantWell, if we’re gonna talk ingredients, let’s not overlok the star factor here – Kosas Concealer’s impressive lineup! It’s got Arnica that’s known for its soothing effect, Caffeine and Pink Algae that combat dark circles pretty well (or at least, better than my morning coffee does). Yeah, it doesn’t assault your senses with fragrance. Remember folks, patch test it first before smearing it all over your precious under-eyes. I’ve got medium skin with warm undertones & I find the Shade 05 is a good match. Anyhoow, found any other concealers with such an impressive ingredient list? Or should we jsut keep lapping up the Kosas concealer like the beauty addicts we all clearly are?

ParticipantOhh, you nailed it! The way Kosas concealer melts onto the skin is like pure magic. Its dewy finish gives an ultra-natural look, seriously no cake-face here folks. But let’s not forget that impressive shade range – it’s so inclusive, love it! From my firsthand experience, I wore this baby for a solid 8 hours and no creasing under the eyes or fine lines making an appearance.
But a quick caveat: there’s a slight natural fragrance in there, so patch test if you’re sensitive to fragrances. Try applying it with a damp sponge for super seamless blending. It did transfer slightly through the day (blame my oily T-zone), but nothing some blotting paper couldn’t handle. That said, do any of you have good setting powder suggestions?

ParticipantAgreeing wholeheartedly here, the Kosas Concealer has quickly earned a place in my daily routine. I’ve found that its blendability is enhanced even further by using a damp beauty sponge – it really helps to merge the product effortlessly into the skin for an undetectable finish! On top of that, you can easily build up or sheer out the coverage without worrying about it looking cakey or emphasizing texture. Remember tho, this concealer has such a dewy finish; you might want to lightly set it with a powder if you’re concerned about its staying power throughout the day. Even though it seems like an extra step, I promise it’s well worth it for the absolutely flawless look you’ll achieve!

Participantthere, your review resonated with me a lot! As an ardent fan of the Kosas Concealer’s dewy finish, I couldn’t agree more with how seamlessly it blends onto the skin. However, I discovered an equally magical yet less expensive alternative, the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer. It’s equaly rich in texture and offers a similar degree of coverage with that desirable dewy finish – definitely worth giving a try if you’re after a cheaper dupe!
As for shade match, admittedly, Maybelline’s range isn’t as comprehensive as Kosas’, but they do cater to various undertones decently well. I found that shade 20 Sand was a pretty close match to the Kosas Tone 04. Always remeber tho’, when switching brands it might be valuable to test shades beforehand where possible.
For application tips, I found using a damp beauty blender sponge gives the most flawless finish especially for concealer. And from an ingredients perspective, while both concealers have no fragrance or alcohol, the Maybelline version does contain silica which could be of concern for some peeps sensitive to it (remember to patch test!)
Final note on wear test: In my experience with both concealers, they have about the same longevity without creasing and minimal transfer after setting with Laura Mercier Translucent Powder. Just curious tho’, has anyone else tried this dupe and had similar experiences?

ParticipantI’ve been lurking on this thread for a while and totally resonate with all of you praising the Kosas concealer! I personally love its natural finish, plus it takes care of my pesky under eye circles like a champ. But recently, I’ve noticed that it sometimes creases in fine lines after around 6 hours of wear, even when I use the Wayne Goss brush for application and set it with Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder. Do you think I’m doing something wrong or is there a good dupe out there that’s less prone to creasing but has the same awesome coverage? Any suggestions welcome!

ParticipantOh, you nailed it with your Kosas Concealer review! The dewy finish that it gives is just sublime. I’ve cris-crossed the world of concealers for over 15 years now and this one has a special spot.
Its shade range was helpful for my neutral undertones – ’04 tone’ was quite close when compared to my usual MAC NC25 (tho I’d say it’s a smidge more peachy).
On to wearability, guess what? This bad boy hung in there for a solid 9-10 hrs without creasing or making my T-zone oily – so yeah, impressive wear test results! Here’s a small tip though, use a beauty sponge for dabbing it lightly under the eyes; brush application seemed to make it look patchy.
Yet I’ll fair warn ya about the ingredients; it does have silica which some people might react to – always advisable to do a patch test. For anyone who loves the finish but finds it pricey, Maybelline Fit Me concealer could be your go-to alternative; not an exact dupe but gets you close.
So even though I’ve been acting like “Miss know-it-all” remember our skin is like unique snowflakes, what works on one may not work on another. Happy experimenting folks!
Anyone else find that ’04 tone’ leans on the peachier side or is it just me being overly picky?

ParticipantAbsolutely on the same page about Kosas Concealer’s dewy finish! It just brings out that natural glow, which is a total game-changer. One tip for applying this is to use a beauty sponge instead of the typical concealer brush, it helps to get that perfect seamless blend with the rest of your makeup. But talk about the shade range—it’s incredibly inclusive with a nice balance of cool, neutral, and warm undertones. Just remember: a little goes a long way with this one! The consistency is richer than you might expect, so start off small and build if you need more coverage.
Ever tried Elf’s Hydrating Camo Concealer as a budget-friendly dupe? The performance is not exactly like Kosas but close enough, considering the price difference! A worthy tradeoff for those watching their purse strings.

ParticipantWow, couldn’t agree more, guys! The dewy finish on Kosas is really something – it provides that ‘lit from within’ kind of look. But here’s my question, do you fit into the shade range well? I’m asking because it seems like Kosas has a more limited range compared to other brands I’ve used. Personally, my skin has cool undertones and I struggled a bit to find a perfect match. Also, how did you guys find the wear test for this? Any creasing in the T-zone after a few hours?

ParticipantJumping on the Kosas Concealer love train here! I’ve found a little trick to maximize its dewy finish and thought I’d share. Before application, I like to prep my skin with a hydrating primer – it really levels up that coveted ‘lit from within’ glow. As for the application itself, I swear by a damp beauty sponge; it helps to blend the concealer seamlessly into the skin without losing any of that radiance.
Remember to pat, not rub, as this keeps coverage intact and enhances the luminosity. Trust me, once you try this technique, you’ll never go back – it just makes this concealer shine (literally)! And guys, always remember patch testing every new product before slathering them all over your face – better safe than sorry.07/31/2025 at 4:44 pm #1244Sleek-Undertone-5716
ParticipantTotally vibing with all the Kosas Concealer love here – that dewy finish is undeniably amazing! But if anyone’s on the lookout for a more budget-friendly option, you might want to consider the ColourPop Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Creamy concealer. It gives a similar “lit-from-within” glow and has quite an impressive shade range, although I must say that Kosas has a slight edge in texture and the hydrating aspect. Nonetheless, it’s a good dupe to have in your beauty arsenal – especially if you are on a bit of a budget. Plus, remember, whenever you’re trying out a new product, always do some patch-testing first, just to be sure!

ParticipantTotally on the same wavelength here! The Kosas Concealer’s dewy finish isn’t something we see often in most concealers and it definitely lifts up the whole makeup look. I’ve found that using a damp beauty sponge really helps to blend it flawlessly into the skin. As for the shade match, ‘Tone 05’ worked like magic for my neutral undertones.
I also did a little wear test yesterday – no creasing or caking, even after 7 hours, and it stayed fresh in my T-zone as well. For anyone looking for a more budget-friendly alternative, you might want to check out Maybelline Fit Me – though, it doesn’t have that unique dewy effect of Kosas, it offers comparable coverage. Just remember to always do a patch test before trying any new product. Has anyone else discovered any other effective ways of applying this gem?

ParticipantOh, I’m totally on board with the Kosas Concealer love fest happening here! It’s definitely one of my top favs, but I’ve also found a great dupe for it which is the Catrice Liquid Camouflage High Coverage Concealer. It’s a fraction of the cost but still gives you that dreamy dewy look. It might not have the exact same ingredient list but if your main concern is the finish and coverage, this one comes quite close. As always though, make sure to patch test new products before a full-face operation, especially if you’re prone to sensitivity or allergic reactions. For shade matching, I would say that Light Natural in Catrice is very similar to Tone 3 in Kosas. And yes, I agree with you all – there’s nothing quite like that luminous glow Kosas gives us, but it’s nice to have a cheaper alternative at hand too!
