Yesterday I tested out the Huda Beauty Overachiever concealer in the shade Whipped Cream (01G) – you know, the one everyone’s been rambling about lately. Right off the bat – it’s got some major full coverage, it legit covered all my wild under-eye circles and blemishes without even flinching. The texture was less creamy than expected and a bit dry upon application but surprisingly, it kind of self-set, saving me the usual setting powder steps. I applied it with a damp beauty blender and found it’s super blendable, though by hour eight of my wear-test, it began to slightly crease under my eyes. Taking everything into account, including its brightening effects versus just color-match concealing, this Huda Beauty concealer review gets a thumbs up from me. Good for spot concealing too?

I totally agree with your review on the Huda Beauty concealer. I too have been using it for a while and I must say, the coverage is incredible, hiding those pesky dark circles pretty effectively. My shade is Cotton Candy which has a pink undertone complementing my fair skin tone beautifully. I noticed some fragrance in the product, so for anyone with sensitive skin, definitely perform a patch test beforehand.

When it comes to application, I’ve found that using a damp sponge tends to blend the product seamlessly onto my skin as opposed to directly applying with its brush applicator. It lasted me a good 6-7 hours without any noticeable creasing. A bit of shine did begin to show through on my T-zone after about 4 hours, but nothing some blotting paper couldn’t handle.

For anyone looking for a cheaper alternative, Maybelline’s Fit me Concealer gives almost similar coverage though without the vast shade range offered by Huda Beauty. It lacks that creamy texture Huda’s product has but might be worth checking out if you’re on a tight budget. Hope this helps!

I’m realy glad to hear that you’ve had such positive experiences with the Huda Beauty concealer! It’s become a staple in my makeup routine as well. I was particularly drawn to its impressive range of shades – I found one that matches my slightly olive undertone perfectly, which isn’t always an easy task! However, I was wondering if anyone has experienced any issues with it transferring? I’ve had some problems with transfer on those long days, especially around my T-zone. Also, has anyone found a cheaper dupe that works jsut as well? Thanks in advance!

I could not agree more! The Huda Beauty concealer really does deliver on its promise of full coverage. I’ve found my perfect shade match in Creme Brulee, which is just right for my light-medium skin with neutral undertones. However, if you’re looking for a cheaper alternative, I’d highly recommend the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer. It’s practically a dupe for the Huda one in terms of coverage and longevity. Plus, it comes in a wide range of shades too! If you’re using either of these concealers, remember to set it with a loose powder to prevent creasing (I personally love the Laura Mercier translucent setting powder). As with all products, don’t forget to patch test first, especially if you have sensitive skin.

So I’ve been hearing a lot of great feedback about this concealer and honestly, it has me intrigued. I must ask though, regarding your wear test, did you notice the concealer transferred easily or was it pretty budge-proof throughout the day? Also, you mentioned that it didn’t crease under the eye area but how about other problematic areas like around the nose or fine lines on face? Super curious coz my T-zone can be quite a troublemaker with many concealers just sliding right off. Thanks for any further insights!

Absolutely, the Huda Beauty concealer has done wonders for a lot of people and the coverage it provides is definitely impressive. However, if you’re looking for an alternative that hits the mark in terms of full coverage but at a more wallet-friendly price point, you might want to give the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind concealer a try. It has a similar creamy texture and finish, making it great for those who have dry skin. And oh, by the way, do remember to always do a patch test before trying out new makeup products to ensure they work well with your skin type. Given how personal foundation/concealer matches can be though, specific shade comparisons may vary depending on individual undertones – a bit trickier than jsut saying ‘if you’re this in Huda, get this in Maybelline.’ Has anyone had experience comparing shades between these two brands?

there, you’re right about Huda Beauty concealer having great coverage. It’s honestly one of the better ones out there for pulling off a flawless look. In terms of ingredients, it’s loaded with various emollients and silicones which, when combined, really help to create that supple skin texture and prevent any dry or flaky areas.

However, I did notice it contains some fragrance – so patch testing would be good if you’ve got sensitive skin. Also worth mentioning is that despite it being rather long-lasting, I observed minor creasing after about 6 hours. But again, this could vary depending on your personal skin type and the weather conditions too.

On the whole, if you’re after a high-coverage concealer with a semi-matte finish, you might want to give this a shot! Just remember to pair it with a good primer to make those fine lines less visible and increase its durability throughout the day. Anyone else feels the same or had different experiences?

Absolutely agree with all the love for the Huda Beauty concealer, it’s one of my favorites too! A little goes a long way annd it practically melts into the skin without much effort. One thing I’ve noticed though is the strong fragrance which doesn’t puff away quickly. If you’re sensitive to scents, you might want to do a patch test before buying. Finally, does anyone know if there’s a less expensive dupe that offers this kind of coverage and also has a neutral undertone like Toasted Almond? The cost does add up when you use it daily.

Oh, definitely! Huda Beauty concealer has flaunt-worthy coverage, no question there! What I do need to mention tho, is that there’s a slightly cheaper alternative that performs almost identically- the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer.

When it comes to application, I found that using a damp beauty sponge really helps in achieving that smooth, even finish. jsut remember to tap gently rather than rubbing – works like a total charm!

On the shades front, they both offer similar variety! For me personally, natural undertones like ‘Crème Brulee’ in Huda and ‘Medium 25’ in Maybelline suit me best. But always make sure to do a patch test if your skin’s a bit sensitive, okay?

Lastly, about wear test: the Huda one did hold up remarkably well for about eight hours on my T-zone before noticeable creasing (pretty fantastic I’d say), pretty similar to Maybelline.

The verdict? Splurge on the Huda if you can or go for Maybelline if you’re after some pocket-friendly magic… or get both like yours truly! Why not mix and match based on your day’s makeup needs right? Drop me a reply Hive minders, what were your shade matches?

Oh totally, Huda Beauty’s Overachiever Concealer has quickly become my go-to for those troublesome spots and under-eye areas. I typically use the shade “Cotton Candy,” which perfectly matches my fair skin with pink undertones. The best way I’ve found to apply it is with a damp beauty sponge – it really blends into the skin seamlessly and gives that flawless finish we all crave! On average, I get about 8-10 hours of wear before I notice any slight creasing or fading. It does contain talc though, so if your skin is sensitive, make sure to do a patch test first. Has anyone else noticed how good it performs in the T-zone? It’s been an absolute game changer for me!

Totally chiming in on the love for Huda Beauty’s Overachiever Concealer! In terms of ingredients, it’s definitely worth noting that this baby is fragrance-free – a total win if you have sensitive skin like me. Although, it does contain silica which tends to be problematic for some people. As always, remember to patch test new products before going all in (I learned it the hard way!). Anyway, did anyone else find they had a good shade match with this concealer? I ask because, as a pale gal with cool undertones, I often struggle so much with this. Thanks!

beauties, I can definitely see the Huda Beauty Overachiever Concealer’s appeal. It’s got some serious coverage and stays put for hours! But if you’re seeking a more budget-friendly alternative, you might want to try Maybelline’s Instant Age Rewind. It also has excellent coverage and is a tad less heavy on the skin. While Huda’s concealer comes with its own applicator, for both products, I’ve found using a damp beauty sponge can realy help blend it out evenly. Now onto shades – Huda offers more variety especially if you have an olive or deeper skin tone. However, both brands do a decent job of catering to different undertones. One thing to note though is Huda’s product does contain fragrance – not an issue for everyone, but may not suit those with sensitive skin (always good to do a patch test!). Anyways how do other folks fare with it in hot climate? I felt my T-zone getting oily after 6-7 hours of wear with Huda, which wasn’t the case with Maybelline.

Well well, isn’t it crazy how we all fall for the hype sometimes? Not that Huda’s Overachiever Concealer isn’t sleeve-up-her-game amazing – but ladies, have you ever tried Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser? The coverage is honestly comparable and your wallet will thank you. The shade range isn’t as extensive, sure. But with some smart mixing and matching (and a bit of makeup wizardry), you can find your pretty perfect match. As for application tips – a damp sponge will do wonders both for Huda and Maybelline concealers. Just make sure you set it nicely under your eyes to avoid any pesky creasing. Blame it on my slightly oily T-zone, but both do tend to gather in fine lines after about 6 hours or so – no matter the concealer’s price tag.
So there’s my two cents – are high-end concealers like Huda really worth the splurge, or can drugstore varieties give ’em a run for their money? What ya think, beauties?

guys, exactly! The Huda Beauty Overachiever Concealer really lives up to its name. I found it super pigmented, providing amazing coverage with just a tiny dot. The creamy consistency makes it easy to blend and build, so you don’t have to worry about cakey or patchy spots.

I’m ‘Coconut Flakes’ in shade and it’s perfect for my fair skin with cool undertones. If you’re looking for a similar fit but on a budget, Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in ‘Fair’ is pretty close!

When applying this product I prefer using my trusty beauty blender rather than the metal tip applicator of the tube which can sometimes drag the product or feel cold. Sponge application gives me that gorgeous airbrushed finish which I absolutely love.

Of course, as we all know nothing’s perfect. While I appreciate the beautiful matte finish, it does tend to crease if you skip setting it with powder soon after blending – so make sure you don’t miss that step! For those of you concerned about ingredients, note that it does contain fragrance – do a patch test if your skin is sensitive.

Overall, I’m smitten by this concealer’s performance and it’s one of my ultimate go-tos for killer coverage!

I totally agree with the praises for Huda’s Overachiever Concealer. The coverage is a dream, and it doesn’t falter even after hours of wear! A note on shades: I find it very inclusive, catering to different undertones. Plus, as a golden undertone girl myself, the shade Graham Cracker was jsut perfect.

But here’s a hot tip for beauties on a budget: the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Treatment Concealer. It’s almost an equally power-packed performer compared to Huda’s, but at a significantly reduced price point. Just remembe,r you might wanna find your own shade match cause Maybelline tends to lean more pink in undertones.

Also, anyone else experienced shininess with the Overachiever around T-Zone? I have combination skin, so naturally my T-zone lights up like a Christmas tree after 3-4 hours. I found that using Becca’s Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector before application helps to control this.

Lastly, Huda’s formula contains fragrance – so patch test if necessary! Does anyone else have some dupes or tips to share? Particularly in terms of keeping that T-zone shine in check totally intrigued!
