ParticipantHokay peoples, going to jump straight into my personal Natasha Denona concealer review. So I picked up shade 11 – a light skin tone with warm peach undertones, and yo! First impressions – this baby is offering realy good coverage but remains surprisingly lightweight. I applied it using my favourite Sephora Pro Airbrush #57 and found it quite blendable. Better yet, no heavy creasing under the eyes even when worn for an epic 10 hours (no baking!). Somehow, balancing between being brightening and a perfect color-match. Totally ecstatic that it seems self-setting too – absolute game-changer! But what about you guys? Good for spot concealing too?

ParticipantTotally agree with you on the drying aspect of the Natasha Denona Concealer. It gives good coverage but it’s definitely not for those with dry skin. I have found that the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer is a pretty good dupe and it’s less drying. It doesn’t have fragrance or alcohol in it, which is always a plus. For application, I always make sure to moisturize well before using and I like to apply with a moist beauty sponge to help prevent caking. As for wear time, it holds up pretty well on my T-zone even after 6-7 hours without creasing or transferring too much.
On a side note, how did you find the shade match with Natasha? Maybelline has a decent range as far as drugstore brands go but it might not be an exact match depending on your undertones. Also curious about any specific primer you use under this concealer?

ParticipantAbsolutely spot-on about the drying aspect, it was a tad too much for my under eyes. But I must say, the shade range is something to commend. I’m in the shade 11N (for reference, I am ‘Honey’ in Too Faced and ‘Wheat’ in Estee Lauder), and it’s an impeccable match for my neutral undertones. If like me, you’ve struggled seeking the perfect concealer shade, Natasha Denona might just be your solution! Just remember to moisturize well before application to counter the dryness. Anyone else with neutral undertones find a good match?

ParticipantI totally see where you guys are coming from about the drying aspect of the Natasha Denona Concealer. For those who do love its coverage though, I’ve discovered an interesting workaround. Lately, I’ve been mixing a tiny drop of my hydrating primer (the Fenty Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Primer is a favorite) with this concealer before application and find it helps to offset some of that dryness. Just remember to patch test this technique if you have sensitive skin! As for shade matching, I think I’ve had relative success with shade 10Y – it has nice yellow undertones which work well for me as I also wear MAC NC20. Just food for thought ladies! Has anyone else tried similar techniques? Or perhaps there’s another not-so-drying high coverage concealer you’d recommend?

ParticipantI know exactly where y’all are coming from regarding the drying issue, but if you’re into the coverage it provides but want to avoid that feeling, I’ve found a great dupe that might just do the trick for you. The Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer is not only more affordable but also has a similar high coverage finish, annd it’s much less drying than Natasha Denona. It doesn’t have as many shade options which can be a bummer for some, but if you do manage to find your colour match, it’s definitly worth giving a try. Plus, application is smooth as butter with any brush. I usually use a damp beauty sponge for an airbrushed look! Patch test before using it just to check any potential reactions though. And remember, beauty shouldn’t break the bank or your skin!

Participantjsut reading through the comments here, and thought I’d pitch in with an application tip of my own for those finding the Natasha Denona Concealer drying. Instead of applying it straight from the tube to your skin, you might want to try warming up a small amount on the back of your hand first. Allow it to warm up for a minute or so – this can make its texture creamier and less “drying” upon application. Also, you could potentially try using a damp sponge or beauty blender instead of fingertips or a brush, for more of a hydrated finish. Don’t forget to use an under eye cream before applying any concealer, it honestly makes such a difference – patch test if you haven’t done so yet!

Participantbeauties, so I totally agree with the drying concern you’ve all noticed with the Natasha Denona concealer, but from my experience, a decent dupe that doesn’t compromise on coverage is the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer. The price point is way more friendly and above all, its formula seems to be less drying. It also comes in a pretty wide range of shades so finding a match should be easy for most of us. Like with any new product though, it might be worth patch testing first just to see how your skin reacts. Hope this helps!

Participantdefinately see where you guys are coming from with the drying issues! In terms of shade match though, I’ve found Natasha Denona Concealer quite versatile. As someone who has a neutral undertone with slight yellow in it, I was pleasantly surprised by how well shade 20WY matched me.
For reference, I usually wear NC25 in MAC and Warm Ivory in Bobbi Brown Foundation. Based on my exprience, if you’re similar to me in coloring, 20WY could be a great match for you too! However, they do run slightly darker than indicated. So if you’re caught between two shades, maybe opt for the lighter one. Oh and super important – as always, make sure to do a patch test before completely diving in 🙂

ParticipantSo glad to see someone else mentioning the drying issue too! I have been experimenting with this Natasha Denona concealer for a while now and found that prepping the skin with a nice hydrating primer makes a world of difference. It takes care of the dryness, helps with smoother application, and honestly makes it easier to find a shade match as well. As for wear test, I’d say it lasts pretty decntly through the day without much creasing or transfer (given you set it right). If anyone’s still struggling with this product, I’d suggest trying it with a different primer or perhaps looking into a more affordable dupe like the Maybelline Fit Me concealer. You might be surpsied how much of a difference these tiny tweaks can make! Just remember to patch test new products to avoid any potential skin reactions.

ParticipantI’m defnitely on the same page with you lovely beauties about the drying aspect of Natasha Denona’s concealer. The shade match was pretty spot-on for me tho, with an excellent variety catering to warmer undertones which I appreciate.
Application-wise, I’ve found that blending with a damp beauty sponge, rather than a brush, gives a more hydrated finish. As for its ingredients, the lack of fragrance and minimal alcohol content is commendable.
In terms of wear time, it gracefully hung in there during my normal 8-hour day without significant creasing or transferring but did start to emphasize my fine lines due to the drying effect. So perhaps pair it with a hydrating primer or set it with a non-drying setting powder can be helpful.
Ever tried the Too Faced Born This Way concealer? It’s slightly more hydrating for folks dealing with dry patches but still offers comparable coverage and shade range! Remember to do a patch test when trying new products.
Anyone else have other remedies for the slight drying issue?

ParticipantTotally see what you all are saying about the drying aspect of the Natasha Denona concealer. That said, it might be worth noting that this concealer is formulated without any parabens or alcohol which could probably, in theory, help to explain why some of us find it particularly drying. It does contain Dimethicone which is a silicone that provides an amazing smooth and matte finish but can sometimes feel a bit drying as well. In my opinion, if you have dry skin types like me, make sure to use plenty of hydrating serums and moisturisers before application. It’s always a good idea to patch test first too! Just so you know your skin agrees with it.
